This year Egg Fest brought around 1,000 people to the event and had its best year ever in terms of donations tied to sponsorships. Polyglass Joins Roofing Professionals on Capitol Hill to Support and Advocate for the Roofing Industry

Mapeseal GC is a single-component, fast-curing, cold-fluid-applied, monolithic waterproofing membrane ideal for vertical and horizontal surfaces and damp and green concrete applications.

A seamless, 100%-solids, moisture-curing waterproofing membrane, Mapeseal GC is compatible with common construction materials such as concrete, concrete masonry units (CMUs), stone, metal, plastic (PVC and ABS), wood (pressure-treated and fire-treated), rigid insulation, and insulating concrete forms (ICF).

Polyglass U.S.A Supports the Relief Effort in Ukraine

Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing and below-grade waterproofing systems, is committed to giving back to local and international communities and is proud to partner with and support global organizations providing emergency aid in times of crisis.

Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Polyglass family, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team felt the need to support the war relief effort and chose to partner with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), a U.S.-based non-profit organization founded in 2011 as a first responder to global disasters.

Over the past six months, GEM and local NPO partners have delivered much-needed emergency aid inside Ukraine, including the regular distribution of food/care packages and financial assistance for short-term incidentals and temporary housing to Ukrainian refugees, fighters, and their families in over 108 areas.

With the help of donor partners, GEM has repaired and reopened six schools. In addition, GEM has helped extract and relocate refugees, providing accommodation to women and children crossing the border from Ukraine into Poland.

GEM’s founder, Michael Capponi, currently lives in Kyiv and oversees operations.

“We try to solve complex problems with innovative solutions,” he shared in a video on the repair and reopening of a kindergarten in Bucha in Kyiv Oblast. “We have to bring continuous resources,” he urged, emphasizing the critical aid still needed to ensure Ukrainians in war-torn regions are not forced back into refugee status from a lack of safe housing.

A Giving Back donation page on the Polyglass website enabled Polyglass employees, families, and friends to raise $10,000 towards GEM’s relief work within four months. Polyglass U.S.A. matched this donation, and on September 8, 2022, Polyglass team members traveled to the GEM headquarters in Miami to present the $20,000 to GEM leaders and tour the NPO’s warehouse facility.

Polyglass’ Polystick® MTS Plus is the Underlayment of Choice for 180 Days Exposure Rate for a Large Metal Roof Project in Florida

Based in Fort Myers, Florida, CFS Roofing is one of the pre-eminent roofing companies for both residential and commercial roofs in the area, having a proven reputation spanning more than 40 years. When CFS was contracted by the Cypress Cove residential community in Fort Myers to install new metal roofing throughout the 43-acre campus, Polyglass was their brand of choice for the roofing project’s underlayment.

Project Background

The Cypress Cove project involved installing an Englert S2000 snap lock metal roofing system across a series of complex roofing structures – more than 500,000 square feet of surface in total. The team used Polyglass’ Polystick® MTS Plus as a steep-slope roof underlayment before installing the snap-lock roofing system. They then applied Tite Bond metal roofing sealant for final weatherproofing. Not only was the project a massive undertaking in itself, but the CFS team also had to fight through the COVID pandemic and supply chain issues to get the job done.

Although Englert typically requires contractors to use their own underlayment for such projects for warranty purposes, due to the sheer scope of the project, the company made an exception for CFS at their request and allowed them to install MTS Plus instead.

“The exposure rate [for MTS Plus] is much longer than the required Englert HT, which is mandatory to use for their weathertight warranty,” explained Aaron Manual, Roofing Metal Manager for CFS.

Polystick MTS Plus is rated for exposure for up to 180 days.

“Englert accepted the use of MTS due to the large-scale project and knowing that the underlayment would be exposed for a longer than normal period of time.”

Exposure time was not the only reason CFS chose Polyglass. Said Manual, “The MTS Plus has a cover sheet that is more slip-resistant than the competitors. All in all, I think it is one of the best underlayments on the market for metal roofing.”

Polyglass Celebrates Women in the Roofing Industry during Women’s History Month

Polyglass U.S.A. Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing solutions, is celebrating women in the roofing industry during Women’s History Month by highlighting women throughout different roles in the company.

Women’s History Month celebrates women’s contributions to history, culture, society and has been observed annually in March in the United States since 1987. The roofing industry is historically male dominated and still is, with women only making up 0.5 percent of the roofing professionals in the USA today. Polyglass is proud to have women in all different departments within the company. Especially during Polyglass’ 30th anniversary, they want to draw attention to some of the women contributing to the company’s growth.

Polyglass Partners with the Dolphin’s Challenge Cancer for the Sixth Year in a Row

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL –  On Saturday February 26th 2022 Polyglass U.S.A., Inc., a leading manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing systems, partnered for the sixth year in row with the Dolphin’s Challenge Cancer (DCC) annual cycling & 5K event at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.  As a “Fighter Partner” sponsor Polyglass U.S.A. Inc. contributed over $90,000 for innovative cancer research at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This year Team Polyglass raised over $4,000 and consisted of over 70 employees and their families & friends who walked, ran, or biked as part of the charitable event.

“Bringing our Polyglass family together to participate in the DCC is always one of my favorite events of the year,” said Chris Gory, Polyglass’ National Low-Slope Business Development Manager. “The DCC is such an important event for Polyglass and our community because every dollar raised goes directly to cancer research which can help save lives across the country.”

The DCC is dedicated to improving lives by financially supporting cancer research at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC). For the past several years the DCC has strived to reach a $75M commitment, this year with a record-breaking number of participants and over $7M raised, that commitment was finally fulfilled.
